Filipino Caregivers Arriving in Japan

It is widely known that Japan has an aging population and demands for caregivers from other countries are highly in demand.

The first deployment of caregivers from the Philippines under the JPEPA program was in 2009. Since then, a total of more than 3,900 Filipino workers have been deployed to Japan as healthcare workers. This opportunity opened doors for Filipino workers to start a promising career in Japan as well as help the country to aid the rapidly aging community.

This year, the 15th JPEPA batch arrived in Japan to start their journey as health workers. Prior to their employment at different facilities, they will undergo 6 months of intensive Japanese language training. This training is all free with daily allowances provided by the Japanese government.

Japan Remit Finance has been providing remittance services to JPEPA clients for years, and this year is another good start to helping Filipino health workers to send money to their families. The continuous relationship between JPEPA members and JRF remittance has been stronger throughout the years.
