Top Jobs for Foreigners in Japan

Japan remains one of the top world economies. According to Forbes, Japan stands on the third spot this 2023 with its powerhouse economy in technological advancement, manufacturing sectors, high quality exports as well as the service industry.  

For 2023, Japan achieved a new high of 298, 790 companies with employed foreign workers. This only means more opportunities for foreigners to work despite of the cultural and language barriers.  

Tokyo has the largest number of foreign workers, next is Aichi prefecture, and followed by Osaka prefecture. These three are considered as the megacities in Japan where large companies and tourists are gathered.

There are numerous ways to apply as an English teacher such as JET Program, Assistant Language Teacher (ALT), Eikawa, Universities, and International Schools.

Japan has already opened its borders for international tourists and is expected to increase for the next years.
